A spider is collected from the interior or exterior of an architectural structure. Its face is studied under a microscope and a drawing is made. The drawing becomes a template. A portrait of the spider is cut out of felt and fixed to a cloth banner. The banner is then hung and photographed in the exact spot of collection.
